ONITSUKA TIGER & OOTD

There's nothing like a new pair of kicks delivered right to your front step (or in my case - school mailbox, lol)

I've been looking around for a new pair of sneakers to use when I work out and I've read some pretty good review for these Onitsuka Tiger kicks, so I figured I'd give them a try. For $29.99 at JOURNEYS.COM there isn't much to lose. Besides, my dressier brown/white/green Onitsuka's are a 9/10! :)

On a clothing related note ...
Here's my first ever OUTFIT OF THE DAY
It's based on an outfit I saw in one of last year's SOUP magazines ( I will do my best to find the look and scan it into here)

Besides their stereotypical knack for electronics, Japanese people, especially the youth, are becoming well known for their unique, bold, risky, and trend-setting sense of style. The only problem is they're the only ones who don't know this yet.
It's a wonder why Japanese brand stores haven't really made it overseas when it seems like so much of the fashion trends that start out in Japan go global soon after.
Besides, UNIQLO which isn't well known to Americans, unless you've been to Japan or have come across the store, the only one in America on Broadway Ave. in NYC, there aren't many other Japanese brands I can think of off the top of my head.
After my study abroad experience in Japan, I've found myself bored with the limiting shopping options in suburbia and uninspired with the overly casual style of those around me (granted I do live on a college campus). Still, in Japan, Japanese college students, dress up for school. We're not talking neck-ties and leather shoes, but even the most "laid back" dress has a sense of style to it that even those not so particularly interested in it can appreciate.

In conclusion I've decided to share with you three things within the next few days!
I'll start with the article I've drawn this blog post inspiration from PARIS, MILAN, TOKYO, TOKYO? Post tomorrow's outfit, inspired by a look I saw in my favorite Japanese fashion magazine (SOUP), and post about the February issue of SOUP which should be in the mail for me by tomorrow (YES!)

Excited about the next couple of days! Hope you are too.

SOUP

Found a site where you can dowload the SOUP Magazine scan.

I would still rather have the physical copy of the magazine. I want to try out one of the nail looks in January's issue soon, after I'm tired of the polish I have on now.
I'm really looking forward to buying some new polish at Sephora before the year's over :)

Do you guys have a favorite nail polish? Or is there any nail polish you want to buy?
