Give me a break!

Corn? Beet? Cucumber? No, I'm not naming the ingredients of a salad. Believe it or not, these are just some of the MANY (and I'm really not exaggerating with those CAPS) flavors of KitKat available in Japan. Here's the Wiki knowledge to prove it.

Never knowing all these flavors even existed, you can imagine how surprised I was when I arrived to Nagano, Japan (on one of my trips outside Tokyo) and first discovered these flavored KitKats. Nagano is well known for apples, blueberries, and chestnuts, so I was not surprised to find these two flavors among the most popular there. ( There wasn't a chestnut flavored one, at least to my knowledge, but they did have redpepper KitKats. Yeah, spicy.)

Blueberry Cheesecake KitKat

Apple KitKat

Best part is you don't have to be in Japan to buy these Japanified KitKats.
J-list is a good place to start. Check out their inventory here and if you buy some, let me know!
I'd love to order some of my own soon and try some other flavors, just as long as it's not Green Tea. 笑
Give me a Break!~
Till next time!

  2. That Sparkling Strawberry one sounds real good! - Although the Apple KitKat smells delicious, I don't think Apple and Chocolate were meant to mix.

  4. @Franklin - They DO make poop look appealing, just not to me. With all those smiley faces and shit, I never got into the Japanese poop phenomena...

That blueberry kit kat looks mleh but the apple one looks kinda tasty! Apple + Kit Kat sounds omnomnom in my book. n_n
